The Monett R-1 School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Delisa Johnson as the new Monett Elementary School Assistant Principal, effective July 1, 2024.
Delisa Johnson, a graduate of Adrian High School, has an extensive educational background. She earned her Bachelors in Elementary Education from Missouri Southern State University, focusing on Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Johnson furthered her education with a Master's Degree in Early Childhood, a collaborative program between Missouri Southern State University and Northwest Missouri State University. Additionally, she completed a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from William Woods University.
Mrs. Johnson began her teaching career at Rocky Comfort in McDonald County. She later moved to the Neosho School District, where she spent 15 years teaching kindergarten and three years as an instructional coach.

Mrs. Heather Romine, incoming principal of the Monett Elementary School, is thrilled to welcome Delisa to the team and looks forward to working together. “Mrs. Johnson's positivity and love for children are evident, and will contribute to all the great things happening at MES. Her extensive background in elementary education and her experience in behavior management will introduce new ideas and strategies that will benefit both our students and staff,” said Mrs. Heather Romine.
