Four females holding a big cardboard check, a cave, students in a cave

Amy Sampson received the Missouri Retired Teachers Association Grant and the Missouri State Parks Bus Grant. She used the grants to take her Missouri Lit and Composition class on three field trips. One of the trips was to Bluff Dwellers Cave in Noel, Missouri. The students enjoyed exploring an underground lake and where the Native Americans lived in the cave.

The two grants Ms. Sampson received were awarded to help the Missouri-focused class explore the Ozarks, learn about local sites, history, biodiversity, and encourage students to take their families to explore Missouri. Ms. Sampson and her students also do a Leave No Trace unit in the spring, where students learn about not littering, why it is essential to support local businesses, and how to stay safe in all travel situations.

Congratulations to Ms. Sampson and her students for receiving the Missouri Retired Teachers Association Grant and the Missouri State Parks Bus Grant!
